The “Third Arab Human Development Report” was published on Tuesday in the Jordanian Capital in cooperation with the Economic and Social Development Fund and the Arab-Gulf Program to aid UN organizations.

The report revealed that the Arab peoples do not have the ‘freedom of self determination’.

The publishing of the report was delayed several times after the US and Egypt portrayed several objections over issues regarding the Israeli Occupation and the American presence in Iraq; minor changes were made.

The report entitled “Democracy in the Arab Countries” revealed that the gap between the Arab countries and the rest of the world is increasing especially in regard to freedom and democracy.

Also, the report proposed special techniques for political reforms especially regarding the independence of the judicial system, canceling the state of emergency in some Arab countries and fighting discriminations against ethnical minorities.
