Local sources reported Friday that Israeli military authorities informed Aboud’s village council that a decision was made to expropriate 6000 dunams of the village farmland, which represents one third of all farmland privately owned by villagers.
According to the issued military order, the separation wall will be built close to the village built up area, isolating the expropriated land to the Israeli side of the wall.
Aboud is located to the north of the West Bank city of Ramallah.
Israel has decided to speed up the construction of the separation wall, especially in the vicinity of Jerusalem.       ÂÂ
