At 12:00 p.m. a siren was heard throughout the Palestinian territories. Cars and pedestrians stopped for a moment of silence in commemoration of the 57th Nakbe Day.Ã‚Â
Abbas also sent a blessing to the soles of Palestinians killed in the ‘way to freedom’ and to the ‘braves’ held behind bars in Israeli jails.
According to PA data, the Palestinian population stands at some 10 million people, 40% reside in the West Bank and Gaza, around 54% of them are refugees.
