The Israeli Police said on Saturday that it will restrict entry of Muslims to al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on Sunday.

The decision was made in order to allow Jewish worshipers commemorate the destruction of the “Temple Mount”, an Israeli source reported.

The police said that all Palestinian men under the age of 45, and do not carry Israeli identity cards will not be allowed in the mosque; entry of women was not restricted.

Visitors and tourists will also be bared from entering the mosque on Sunday.

It is worth mentioning that the Islamic Movement and the Muslim Waqf called on the Muslims to go to al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday in order to participate in a solidarity protest in light of the repeated threats by extremist settlers to attack the mosque.
