Israeli soldiers operating on the checkpoint on the southern entrance of West Bank city of Bethlehem, blocking the road to Hebron, arrested Omar Al-Afandi from the nearby Deheisheh refugee camp.
40-year-old Al-Afandi was detained as he tried to enter Bethlehem through the checkpoint late on Wednesday night.
Eyewitnesses said, troops held Al-Afandi for more than 2 hours at the checkpoint before they hand-cuff him and arrest him.
Reason behind arresting Al-Afandi is still unknown.
