Israeli forces took one Palestinian prisoner as they invaded the West Bank city of Nablus Sunday afternoon, Maan News reported.


The man was identified as Mohammad Rabai'a,28 and is believed to be a
member of the pro-Fatah Abu Ammar Brigade, local sources said.

At least ten Israeli military vehicles entered the city of Nablus from the west, before noon, and stationed themselves in Tunis Road in the city.

Troops surrounded a four-story building and broke into one of the apartments and took Rabai'a prisoner and detained his brother for more than one hour, before they withdraw.

Local sources said, no clashes erupted during the invasdion which lasted for few hours.

Meanwhile, Israeli sources reported that Israeli troops took prisoner some Palestinian citizens after they found a pistol and a knife inside the car that they were traveling in, east of the city of Nablus in the West Bank.

Names of the held Palestinians are not known yet, however witnesses said, the soldiers stopped their car because they said they were traveling on an Israeli-only road.
