Head of the Egyptian intelligence service, Omar Suleiman has postponed his visit scheduled this week because Israel is not living up to commitment it has made to Egypt last week, senior Egyptian official stated on Monday.During his visit to Egypt last week, Amos Gilad, a senior Israeli military strategist promised Egyptian officials that Israel will maintain calm in the region.

Despite efforts made by Egypt to stop the home-made shells fired by the Palestinian resistance at Israeli targets, Israel assassinated five Palestinians last Wednesday in Bethlehem and Tulkarem, wasting all Egypt’s efforts, the official stated.

Suleiman was scheduled to visit Palestine and Israel to discuss an Egyptian proposal developed during meetings between Egyptian and Palestinian and Israeli officials separately. The proposal includes a stop of Israeli attacks against Palestinians including assassination of Palestinian leaders and a stop of Palestinian home-made shells. The proposal also includes the opening of the Rafah terminal.
