The Israel military informed Palestinian officials on Monday that most of the Gaza crossing points will be opened to allow some aid supplies into Gaza. The chair of the Incoming Goods Committee Ra’ed Fatouh told the media that Israel opened most of the trade crossings to the Gaza Strip for one day only, except the Nahal Oz crossing which will remain closed.

Israel frequently closes the Gaza border crossings causing a serious decrease of basic materials, such as food and medical supplies.

Israel keeps the Gaza borders closed and opens them occasionally. Last time the crossings were opened was more than two weeks ago.

A tight siege has been imposed on the Gaza Strip since June of 2006, including the Rafah terminal, the only link for the coastal region with the world.
