The Israeli army arrested nine Palestinian residents from different districts in the West Bank, the Palestine News & Info Agency reported on Tuesday.Local Palestinian sources stated that the Israeli military has invaded al-A’rrob refugee camp, near the West Bank city of Hebron, and broke into several houses. Khaled Jawabreh, Fayez Kawamleh and Ahmad Jawabreh were detained.
The sources added that the Israeli army personnel have intensified their presence in Hebron and erected many blockades at the entrances of several villages and refugee camps. In addition, they have launched an incursion into the villages of Yatta and al-Kom,near Hebron, stopping Palestinian residents’ vehicles .
Head of the Palestinian Prisoners Society said that the army had arrested Rashad Karraja, an ex-detainee’s uncle who was freed within the prisoner-swap deal last month. He was called for interrogation two days ago.
He added that large Israeli military forces have invaded Safa village, near the West Bank city of Ramallah, on Tuesday at dawn. The forces broke into and searched Qrraja’s house.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army imposed strict measures and a form of house arrest, whereby they cannot leave their local district.
Moreover, security sources reported that the Israeli army has kidnapped two Palestinians from the West Bank city of Jenin, after breaking into their houses, causing damage to the furniture.
The detained residents were identified as Abd ar-Rahim al-Hajj and Kahlil al-Hajj, 37, 32 respectively.
However, in the West Bank city of Bethlehem, Khaled Frraj, 23, Hamdan Zawahreh, 19 and M’utaz Zawahreh, 23, were also arrested.
