Palestinian medical sources reported Wednesday that a Palestinian worker, aged just 19 years old, was shot and wounded by the Israeli armyin the northern part of the Gaza Strip. The sources stated that the worker was shot in his left leg while he was working north of the Bedouin village in Beit Lahia.

Dozens of Palestinian laborers have been shot and injured, with some even killed, while they are working near the border in the Gaza Strip. Most of them were simply trying to collect scrap-metal and debris for recycling in order to reuse it for construction purposes, as many supplies required in short supply due to the trade and economic siege of the coastal enclave.
