The Japanese government’s Official Developmental Assistance program (ODA) has decided to fund the construction of a new building at a private school in Ad-Daraj area, in Gaza city.The Japanese Representative Office in Palestine said that the project will be financed by the ODA under the “Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects” (GGP), with a total value of $114.221.
Japan said that the project will provide suitable and safe environment for all students in the school, as 345 students will be benefiting from the new building that will be designed to serve their needs, and provide them with an adequate educational atmosphere.
The GGP is designed to fulfill basic human needs, including water, electricity, education, health care and the needs of marginalized sectors and individuals. It provides funds to non-governmental organizations and local authorities; the project is not for individuals or for for-profit organizations.
