42 international organizations, including groups based in both Palestine and Israel, are calling on world leaders to put a halt to plans by the Israeli state to forcibly transfer thousands of Palestinian Bedouins out of their communities, in the central occupied West Bank, and into a designated township.According to the Palestinian News Network (PNN), the groups have stressed that the international community must take all possible measures to ensure that individual and mass forcible transfer — a grave breach of the 4th Geneva Convention — does not take place.
Additionally, world leaders should immediately pressure Israel to cancel all transfer plans and allow Palestinians to remain in and develop their communities, warning that a transfer from their current locations would free up land for further Israeli settlement expansion, thus rendering the two-state solution unachievable.
