On Saturday, Israeli soldiers abducted a young Palestinian man and assaulted another in Rojeeb village and in Beita town, near Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.
Media sources said several military jeeps invaded Beita town and abducted a young man, Jihad Ayman Dweikat, after storming and ransacking his home.
They added that the soldiers also invaded Rojeeb village, southeast of Nablus, before assaulting a young man.
Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Emergency Department of the Nablus branch of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), said the young man suffered various cuts and bruises before the medics rushed him to a hospital in Nablus.
It is worth mentioning that the soldiers also invaded and ransacked many homes in Salem village, east of Nablus, causing damage.
In related news, Israeli soldiers assaulted and abducted two Palestinians and confiscated their cars near Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.
On Friday evening, Israeli soldiers shot four young Palestinian men in Yatta town, south of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank.
On Saturday, the Israeli army continued its onslaught on the Palestinians in several parts of the Gaza Strip as the offensive entered its 85th day, killing dozens of Palestinians and wounding hundreds.
The World Health Organization has warned of the increasing risk of infectious diseases in the Gaza Strip, many of which are preventable. Without access to hygiene and with the people of the Strip displaced in large numbers towards the south of the Strip, some families being forced to flee more than once, and many taking refuge in crowded health facilities.
