Israeli soldiers abducted, Tuesday, seven young Palestinian men, and one child, during clashes near Ofer Israeli prison, built on Palestinian lands between Betunia town and Rafat village, in the central West Bank district of Ramallah.
The clashes started after the soldiers assaulted students protesting the Monday killing of Bassel al-A’raj, and the soldiers fired many gas bombs, concussion grenades and rubber-coated steel bullets.
The clashes extended to various areas surrounding the prison, while the soldiers ambushed many protesters, and chased them, before abducting the eight Palestinians, including the child; some of them were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets prior to the abduction.
Eyewitnesses said the soldiers assaulted the abducted Palestinians, before dragging them into the prison compound.
