Israeli soldiers injured, on Wednesday morning, several Palestinian schoolchildren in the southern area of Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources in Hebron said the soldiers detained, searched and harassed many young boys an girls while heading to their schools, after stopping him at military roadblocks surrounding the Ibrahimi Mosque area.

They added that many students protested the harassment by the soldiers, who started firing gas bombs and concussion grenades at them.

Palestinian medics rushed to the scene, and provided treatment to many students who suffered the severe effects of teargas inhalation.
