The Israeli human rights group B’Tselem warned that illegal paramilitary colonizers are attempting to forcibly displace two Palestinian families from their homes in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, describing the situation as part of an accelerating campaign of ethnic cleansing.
According to B’Tselem, colonizers recently established a new outpost in the yards of the two homes and have continued to besiege the properties, blocking access roads and pressuring the families to leave so the colonizers can seize the homes.
The organization said Israeli forces have not removed the colonizers or protected the families. Videos from the area show colonizers and Israeli soldiers praying together at the newly erected outpost.

B’Tselem’s executive director, Yuli Novak, said the events in Qusra reflect a broader pattern in which colonizer militias, backed by the Israeli army, expand assaults on Palestinian towns and villages, seize land, attack homes, and force families to flee.
The organization noted similar takeovers in multiple areas, including Jalud, where colonizers expelled the Tubassi family and occupied their home after months of siege, as well as in Ein Sinya, Turmus Ayya, Al‑Mas’udiyya, Beita, and Abu Falah.

According to B’Tselem, since October 2023, Israeli policies and colonizer violence have led to the complete displacement of 64 Palestinian communities and partial displacement of 15 others, forcing more than 4,800 Palestinians — including over 2,300 children — from their homes.

Colonizers continue to besiege the home of the Yusuf Abd Al‑Salam family in the Ras Al‑Ain area of Qusra, blocking access roads, erecting a tent, and attempting to force the family out.
The home has been targeted for months with repeated stone‑throwing, assaults, and power cuts, prompting the family to remain inside in shifts to protect it.
