Illegal Israeli colonizers assaulted a Palestinian man and cut down grape vines, south of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, on Monday afternoon.

Media sources said that illegal colonizers attacked the citizen, Tariq Al-Fawaghra, 60, while he was on his land in the village of Jurat ash-Sham’a, south of Bethlehem.

According to Al-Fawaghra, the settlers assaulted him and destroyed several grape vines and their fruit, forcing him to leave his land.

He added that the colonizers threatened that if he returned to his 40 acres of land land, they would burn his tractor.

Meanwhile, on Sunday evening, illegal settlers burned olive trees in the village of Madama, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

Media sources said that Israeli colonizers set fire to citizens’ lands north of the village, burning dozens of olive trees belonging to a local citizen.

In related news, Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories, posted on the “X” platform, calling for Israeli settlers who commit crimes against Palestinians, to be held to account.

“One of the results of the International Court of Justice’s advisory opinion is that United Nations countries may now be obligated to disclose the list of their citizens residing in occupied Palestine, especially those who commit crimes against the population of an occupied territory in a way that is illegal.”

Albanese called for those “violent colonizers” to be held accountable, adding, “As Israel has proven unwilling or unable to bring them to justice, other countries must do so.”
