Israeli forces and colonizers assaulted Palestinian citizens, and detained others in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the southern West Bank. Settlers in the town of Ath-Thahiriya, west of the city, cut down 200 olive and almond trees, while soldiers shot a young man near the Apartheid Wall in Ar-Ram town, north of Jerusalem.

Osama Makhamra told the WAFA News Agency that several armed Israeli colonizers, under army protection, stormed Khirbet Mughayir al-Abeed in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

Makhamra added that the soldiers and colonizers stormed citizens’ homes and attempted to steal their sheep, before residents confronted them.

He said that occupation forces assaulted and abused Palestinian citizens, causing a young man and an elderly man to sustain bruising.

The army detained a number of residents in the area, including a woman; there were no reports of arrests.

Earlier Wednesday, illegal colonizers cut down 200 trees, belonging to a local citizen in the town of Ath-Thahiriya, west of Hebron.

WAFA correspondent reported that armed paramilitary settlers cut down 200 olive and almond trees owned by the citizen Ahmad Othman Al-Samamra.

In related news, Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian young man with live ammunition, on Wednesday night, in the town of Ar-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews transported a young man to the hospital after he sustained a live gunshot injury.

Media sources reported that occupation forces chased several Palestinian workers near the Apartheid Wall and opened fire towards them.
