On Monday, medical sources said the army killed and injured dozens of Palestinians in a series of bombings and air strikes targeting various parts of the devastated and starved Gaza Strip, especially in central Gaza, Sheja’eyya, and Khan Younis, in addition to Rafah and its surrounding areas.

Those killed on Monday in Israeli airstrikes allegedly include the mayor of Al-Maghazi, Hatem al-Ghamri, who was killed in an Israeli attack on the Al-Maghazi municipality building in the central Gaza Strip.

Local sources said the army bombarded and shelled various parts of central Gaza, Khan Younis, Rafah, Gaza City, and several other areas in the coastal enclave.

In Gaza City, at least one Palestinian was killed, and many were injured by Israeli missiles in the Abu Khadra area, in the center of the city.

Casualties were reported after the army fired artillery shells at the Al-Mughraqa area, south of Gaza City.

A woman was killed, and several Palestinians were injured when the army fired a missile at a home in Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza.

Also, at least three Palestinians, including one woman, were killed and many were injured when the army fired a shell at a home where displaced families sheltered, in Deir Al-Balah.

In the Al-Maghazi refugee camp, the army fired shells at homes and buildings near the UNRWA clinic and injured many Palestinians in the Zahra’ city.

Medical sources said at least five Palestinians, including children, were killed and many were injured when the army bombarded homes in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp.

Several Palestinians were injured when the army fired artillery shells at homes in the Al-Qarara town, north of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army carried out many air strikes targeting farmlands, south of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, and fired many missiles at various areas in Gaza City, in addition to Rafah, in Gaza’s southmost part.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that a Palestinian Doctor, Shadi Abu Hassanein, was killed in an Israeli shelling of the Saraya Junction in Gaza City.

Furthermore, medical sources have confirmed that, after the army withdrew from Khan Younis, medics and rescue teams found the corpses of 84 Palestinians who were killed by Israeli missiles in several parts of the city.

Also in Khan Younis, medics found the corpses of ten Palestinians, including six children, in the bombarded Taybeh Towers, northwest of the city.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) published a video documenting the arrival of its team at the Al-Amal hospital it runs in Khan Younis after the army withdrew from the area.

The video documented the extensive destruction caused by Israel’s missiles and shells to the medical center and the surrounding area; the video also shows sentences the soldiers wrote in Hebrew on the walls of the hospital.

In addition, medical sources said the bodies of ten Palestinians, found under the rubble of bombarded homes in Khan Younis, were moved to the Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah.

It is worth mentioning that Turkey announced that Israel declined a request to air-drop humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Jazeera said a new proposal was submitted for talks regarding ceasefire and prisoner-swap, and said it includes ceasing fire in three stages, the return of civilians to northern Gaza without specifying the number, in addition to opening the Rashid and the Salahuddin Streets after the army withdraws 500 meters away from them.

It also includes the entry of 500 humanitarian aid trucks a day to the Gaza Strip, and the release of 900 Palestinian detainees, including 100 who are sentenced to life terms in the first stage of cease fire.

However, the suggested deal does not specify the number of detainees who would be released in the second stage or the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, despite mediation efforts, said Israel decided on the time and date of the invasion and massive ground offensive in Rafah, and said that the defeat of “Hamas requires a full ground offensive in Rafah.”

He also said that he received the reports about the ceasefire talks in Cairo, yet, he added that Israel wants to “achieve all of its objectives, topped by the release of all Israeli captives and the total defeat of Hamas.”

The Palestinian Health Ministry said Israel has now killed at least 33.207 Palestinians, mostly women, and children, and injured more than 75.993, in addition to the thousands of Palestinians who remain under the rubble and those killed on streets and alleys, but the medics and rescue teams cannot reach them due to massive destruction and ongoing Israeli bombing.
