Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of invasions across the occupied West Bank on Sunday, including occupied Jerusalem, Hebron in the southern West Bank, and Jenin in the northern West Bank, during which soldiers abducted several Palestinians, installed military roadblocks, and delivered new land‑seizure notices for colonialist expansion.
Israeli forces invaded the town of Al‑‘Isawiya, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, at dawn and abducted a young Palestinian man after breaking into homes in the area and ransacking them.
In a separate incident in occupied Jerusalem, Israeli police abducted a Palestinian resident of Beit Hanina after claiming to have confiscated a handgun, a magazine of ammunition, a military vest, and a Palestinian flag from inside a home during a search operation.
Israeli forces also installed a military roadblock in the town of At‑Tur, east of occupied Jerusalem, on Sunday morning.
Soldiers positioned the roadblock near Augusta Victoria Hospital, stopped vehicles, issued traffic fines, and subjected Palestinian residents to identity checks and searches.
Local sources reported that the tightened measures caused significant delays and movement restrictions for residents and medical staff.
In Hebron in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the towns of Sa‘ir and Ath‑Thaheriya, broke into several homes, and abducted four Palestinians.
Local sources identified the men taken from Sa‘ir as Nizar Baleegh Jaradat, Mohammad Yusri Jaradat, and Abdul‑Hai Yasri Jaradat. In Ath‑Thaheriya, soldiers abducted Rauf Shreiteh after invading several neighborhoods in the southern part of the town.
In Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces closed a main road southeast of the city by placing earth mounds across the route connecting the towns of Jannata and Harmala.
Media sources reported that the closure is part of a broader escalation in recent days, during which Israeli forces have blocked roads and entrances to several towns and villages in the eastern Bethlehem countryside, particularly between Tuqu‘ and Jannata, severely disrupting residents’ movement.
In Jenin in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces delivered a notice ordering the seizure of approximately seven dunams of land in the Al‑Jabriyyat area, overlooking the Jenin refugee camp. Local sources stated that the land confiscation is intended for colonial expansion.
In the same area, Israeli bulldozers began cutting a new road through lands located between the towns of ‘Anin and Silat al‑Harithiya, passing through the lands of Khirbet Surooj, which had previously been targeted with a seizure notice in April.
These violations form part of the ongoing pattern of Israeli military invasions, land confiscation, and movement restrictions across the occupied West Bank, which continue to impact Palestinian communities in multiple districts.
