On Monday, the Israeli army continued its offensive on Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, for the 21st consecutive day. The ongoing assault has resulted in the deaths of 25 Palestinians and numerous injuries.
Media sources reported that only a few reporters and residents managed to enter the Hawashin neighborhood, Samran neighborhood, and the center of the Jenin refugee camp.
They witnessed the extensive destruction of homes, shops, vehicles, streets, and infrastructure.
The refugee camp now resembles a warzone due to the massive destruction caused by the invading Israeli forces.
Mansour Sa’adi, the assistant governor of Jenin, stated in a press briefing that the Israeli army has destroyed the Jenin refugee camp and displaced approximately 25,000 Palestinians.
The army also fired live rounds at Palestinian journalists in the refugee camp, detained and interrogated many of them before forcing them out.
The Israeli army continues to demolish and burn homes in the Jenin refugee camp, while military helicopters and drones were constantly seen and heard flying over the entire area.
The WAFA Palestinian News Agency reported that the Israeli army continued its siege on the Jenin governmental hospital after bulldozing its entrance and the main streets leading to it.
The hospital continues to face severe shortages in water, and its various branches can barely function due to the ongoing siege and destruction.
Earlier on Monday, the army invaded Silat al-Harithiya town, west of Jenin, after surrounding and burning a Palestinian home.
Media sources said the soldiers abducted Ala Al-Betawi, Karam Saadi, Yousef Solami and Walid Abu Rashid, from the surrounded home.
The soldiers also invaded and ransacked another home and a store, causing significant damage and losses.
The Israeli army is expanding its offensive on Jenin and pushing more armored military vehicles, including bulldozers, into Jenin city and the Jenin refugee camp.
