On Saturday, Israeli soldiers demolished 58 Palestinian homes in Tulkarem refugee camp, in Tulkarem, in the occupied West Bank’s northwestern part, as part of a ongoing plan to remove the Palestinians from it.

The demolitions are part of the large-scale military offensive on Tulkarem which started 132 days ago in Tulkarem city and Tulkarem refugee camp, and 119 days ago in Nur Shams refugee camp.

The WAFA Palestinian News Agency reported that Israeli military bulldozers continued this morning to demolish dozens of residential buildings in the Tulkarem refugee camp for the second consecutive day, as part of a larger plan to demolish 106 buildings in both Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, including 58 buildings in Tulkarem refugee camp alone.

This includes more than 250 housing units and dozens of commercial establishments concentrated in the Balawna and Okasha neighborhoods.

It is worth mentioning that Israeli forces informed residents of the refugee camp ten days ago about an immediate demolition order, giving them only three hours to enter their homes and collect their belongings.

This process was carried out under severe restrictions, including pursuit, assaults, detention, and live fire, despite prior coordination allowing entry.

Simultaneously, Israeli occupation forces continue to enforce a strict blockade on the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps and their surrounding areas.

Soldiers are stationed in alleyways, neighborhoods, and entrances, preventing residents from reaching their homes to check on them or retrieve their possessions. Those who attempt to approach face direct gunfire.

In recent days, Nur Shams refugee camp has experienced ongoing demolitions of residential buildings, with more than 20 structures already destroyed.

Israeli forces have also occupied several residential buildings along Nablus Street and in the northern part of the city, particularly those facing Tulkarem refugee camp.

Residents were forcibly evacuated, and the buildings were converted into military outposts, some of which have been under Israeli control for over three months. Heavy machinery and bulldozers have been deployed in the vicinity.

Meanwhile, military activity has intensified in the city and its outskirts, with Israeli vehicles patrolling main streets and neighborhoods, particularly around Jamal Abdul-Nasser Square and the central market.

Israeli troops have obstructed civilian movement, blocked vehicles, and engaged in provocative actions, including blaring sirens and driving against traffic.

Nablus Street, which connects the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, has sustained extensive damage due to dirt barriers placed by Israeli forces months ago. These obstacles have severely restricted vehicle movement, adding to residents’ difficulties.

The ongoing military offensive has resulted in the killing of 13 civilians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens have been injured or abducted, while widespread destruction has affected infrastructure, homes, businesses, and vehicles.

Recent reports indicate that the escalation has displaced more than 5,000 families from the refugee camps, totaling over 25,000 people.

At least 400 homes have been destroyed, while 2,573 others have sustained partial damage.

The refugee camps remain largely inaccessible, with entrances blocked by barriers, leaving them nearly devoid of life.

Al-Jazeera reported that Israeli forces are deploying additional military reinforcements. The head of the Popular Committee for Tulkarem Camp told Al Jazeera Mubasher that Israeli forces have carried out targeted killings in the camp, describing the demolitions, killings, and forced displacement as a humanitarian catastrophe.

On Saturday evening, Israeli soldiers shot a young Palestinian man in the village of Ezbet Shufa, southeast of Tulkarem, in the northwestern occupied West Bank.

Last Monday, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian child on Monday, after shooting and abducting him in the town of Sinjil, northeast of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

The Municipality of Sinjil announced that the child, Youssef Fouad Abdel Karim Foqaha, 14, was killed by occupation forces, adding that the army continues to withhold the body.

Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces have killed 150 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 27 children and 5 women.

Occupation forces have killed 57 Palestinians in Jenin, 26 in Nablus, 25 in Tubas, 14 in Tulkarem, 6 in Hebron, 5 in Bethlehem, 5 in Ramallah, 4 in Jerusalem, 4 in Qalqilia, 3 in Salfit, and 1 in Jericho.
