At dawn Wednesday, the Israeli army destroyed the home of a Palestinian prisoner in the village of Urif, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

A large army force invaded the village, surrounded the home of Palestinian prisoner, Basil Shehadeh, and prohibited anyone from reaching the area.

Over several hours, soldiers wired the home with explosives before detonating the home, in a clear act of collective punishment.

It is important to mention that Shehadeh was abducted by the army on June 21, 2023 under the pretext that he helped with a shooting operation against Israeli settlers.

Palestinian young men, Khaled Mustafa Sabah, 24, and Mohannad Faleh Shahada, 26, were killed on June 20, 2023, after they allegedly carried out a shooting operation that killed four Israelis and wounded four.
