On Monday, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers invaded the al-Mu’arrajat Bedouin community northwest of Jericho, in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank, and attempted to burn a home and a tractor.

Hassan Mleihat, the general supervisor of the Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, stated that the colonizers attempted to set fire to a house belonging to a resident of the community and poured flammable materials on a tractor to burn it before locals intervened and managed to repel them.

Mleihat confirmed that the attack took place under the watch of occupation forces, who did not intervene to stop these assaults.

In a related incident, a group of colonizers invaded a sheep pen in the Arab al-Mleihat Bedouin community, northwest of Jericho.

Mleihat reported that the colonizers broke into a sheep pen belonging to Ata Suleiman Ka’abna in the Arab al-Mleihat community, opened it, and scattered the livestock.

In addition, a group of paramilitary colonizers began setting up tents in the wilderness of Al-Minya, east of Bethlehem.

Zayed Kawazba, the head of the Al-Minya Village Council, stated that the colonizers invaded the area and started installing tents on lands of the “Nasseb Abu Dayya” area.

Kawazba added that the Al-Minya wilderness—which includes areas such as Fatah Sidro, At-Tina, Hajar, Wadi Al-Abyad, Nasseb Abu Dayya, and Rabea—has previously been subjected to repeated violations by the colonizers and Israeli soldiers.

These attacks have included setting up tents in most areas, assaulting farmers and shepherds, firing live bullets and toxic gas canisters, and seizing wheat and barley crops along with several livestock.

Last Month, the colonizers carried out various violations, include incidents of property destruction, such as burning agricultural lands and demolishing residential structures, In the Arab Al-Mleihat Bedouin community.

In the Ein Al-Hilwa area, in the Northern Plains, the colonizers burned residential tents, stole livestock, and attacked Bedouin families.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power [Israel] shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies [Palestine].” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
