Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers injured an elderly Palestinian man and caused additional bruises and minor wounds to others after attacking residents in the town of Surif, northwest of Hebron, on Sunday evening.
The head of Surif Municipality, Hazem Ghneimat, told WAFA News that a group of colonizers, carrying clubs and batons, invaded the Khallet Ghoneim area and assaulted residents inside their homes, injuring an elderly man in the head after beating him with clubs and batons.
He added that several other residents suffered bruises and minor injuries as a result of the attack.
In a related assault, colonizers released a herd of cattle into agricultural land planted with fruit trees in the Khallet al-Hummus area, south of Yatta in the southern area of Hebron, damaging trees and crops belonging to citizen Samer Obeid.
Local sources said the colonizers deliberately let their cattle into the farmland, causing extensive damage to the orchards and cultivated plots.
Towns and villages across the Hebron governorate — especially areas adjacent to colonies and newly established colonial outposts — continue to witness escalating attacks by illegal paramilitary colonizers against residents and their property.
These assaults include beatings, torching homes and schools, filling wells with debris, firing live rounds, grazing livestock in agricultural land, uprooting trees and crops, and preventing farmers from accessing their land.
Earlier, Israeli colonizers carried out a series of attacks across the West Bank, burning homes and a mosque, damaging civilian property, assaulting residents, and stealing livestock.
