On Tuesday, a group of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded the Al-Awja area, north of Jerricho in the northeastern West Bank, and occupied lands belonging to the Palestinian Ministry of Waqf and Religious Affairs.
Ayman Ghareeb, a nonviolent activist against the illegal Israeli colonialist activities, said dozens of colonizers occupied a hill of about two dunams owned by the Ministry.
He added that the occupied lands link to more Waqf lands and are near an existing illegal colonialist outpost that the colonizers have been trying to expand.
Ghareeb also said that the colonizers started placing tables, seats, and other infrastructure to turn the illegally occupied lands into a segregated park.
