Israeli forces invaded, on Tuesday, the city of Jenin, its refugee camp, and other towns and villages in the northern West Bank, abducted two Palestinian young men and shot one.
In the predawn hours of Tuesday, a large army force stormed the city of Jenin and its refugee camp in the northern West Bank, sparking protests among local Palestinian youths.
Soldiers stormed many neighborhoods of the city while sirens wailed throughout the city, and reconnaissance drones circled overhead.
Occupation forces positioned sharpshooters on the rooftops of high-rise buildings, broke into many homes, while eyewitnesses reported the sound of loud explosions, and a power outage was also reported in the camp and city.
They invaded and ransacked the home of Muhammad Abu Ali in the Jenin camp, before abducting him, while armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the attacking army.
Medical sources said that a Palestinian young man sustained a shrapnel injury from live ammunition in his hand before he was transported to hospital.
Meanwhile, west of the city, the army stormed Ya’bad town, erected a flying military roadblock, invaded many homes and commercial shops, while confiscating surveillance camera recordings, triggering protests.
Soldiers fired concussion grenades and tear gas canisters at those who resisted the incursion without causing casualties.
Southwest of the city, the army also set up military roadblocks in Arraba town, and invaded many neighborhoods in the village of Faqqu’a, northeast of the city, erected a military roadblock at its entrance, conducted a wide-scale search campaign, while Palestinians resisted the incursion.
Furthermore, soldiers stationed at a military roadblock near the entrance to the town of Arraba, abducted Abdel Moneim Naji Lahlou, on Tuesday afternoon.
