Israeli forces invaded and attacked, on Wednesday night, the city of Tulkarem and its refugee camp, in addition to the Nour Shams refugee camp, abducting seven Palestinians and causing extensive destruction.
Late Wednesday night, a large army force invaded the city of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, from the western side.
Many armored military vehicles including bulldozers stormed the city heading towards the Tulkarem refugee camp and the Nour Shams refugee camp east of the city.
Soldiers opened fire with live rounds, while armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading army, military reinforcements arrived later.
The army positioned sharpshooters on the rooftops of high-rise buildings in the vicinity of the Tulkarem and Nour Shams refugee camps, while drones circled the city’s airspace.
The Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital was besieged, while soldiers searched ambulances and obstructed the work of ambulance crews.
During the military incursion, the stormed Nour Shams camp, and invaded many citizens’ homes.
Three military bulldozers razed the streets at the entrance to the Nour Shams camp and carried out sabotage operations against the streets and infrastructure, and destroyed electricity poles causing a power outage.
Bulldozers also razed the streets and infrastructure at the main entrance and throughout the Tulkarem refugee camp.
The army deployed foot patrols and military vehicles in various streets of Tulkarem while bulldozers destroyed the streets and destroyed electricity poles causing a power outage.
It is important to mention that this is the second major military assault against the Nour Shams camp since October 7, when the army caused widespread destruction of the infrastructure, streets, and private property.
The army abducted at least seven citizens, one of whom was assaulted by Israeli soldiers, after invading and searching their homes in the city and its vicinity.
