Israeli forces invaded Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank on Sunday, abducting several Palestinians, wounding workers with live fire, breaking into homes, and tightening restrictions at military roadblocks.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces abducted a young Palestinian woman after stopping her at the Beit Iksa military roadblock, northwest of the city.
Later, Israeli forces invaded the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, deploying military vehicles throughout several streets and neighborhoods.
Troops also fired tear gas canisters near Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, particularly around Al-Ma’had Street. No injuries were reported.
In Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate in the central West Bank, the soldiers invaded the village of Kafr Ein, northwest of Ramallah city, and fired live rounds at Palestinian youths. No injuries were reported.
During a separate invasion, soldiers abducted Shahid Mustafa Ma’tan, 23, a former political prisoner from the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, while he was working at a private school in the village of Rammun, east of Ramallah.
Furthermore, the army invaded the villages of Abu Falah and Al-Mazra’a Al-Gharbiya, north of Ramallah. During the invasion of Al-Mazra’a Al-Gharbiya, soldiers abducted a Palestinian resident whose identity was not immediately available. Troops additionally invaded the town of Abu Shukheidim, north of Ramallah, deploying in several neighborhoods.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces detained an international solidarity activist and seized his vehicle at a military roadblock established at the western entrance of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah. The roadblock caused heavy traffic congestion and disrupted residents’ movement.
Israeli forces also tightened restrictions at several military roadblocks around Ramallah, including Ein Siniya and Atara north of the city and Jaba’ to the northeast. Soldiers stopped and searched vehicles, inspected identification documents, and caused lengthy traffic delays.
Later in the day, Israeli forces invaded Al-Bireh city in the central West Bank and deployed near the Omari Mosque in the city center before firing tear gas canisters at residents. No injuries were reported.
In Tubas Governorate in the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded Tubas city and the town of Tammun, south of Tubas, where they broke into a home and abducted five members of the Bani Odah family.
The abducted Palestinians were identified as Jihad Hasan Ahmad Bani Odah, his wife Rashida Burhan Bani Odah, their 24-year-old son Laith, and their 16-year-old twin sons Majd and Wajd.
According to local sources, the family was abducted in an apparent attempt to pressure another son, Ahmad Bani Odah, to surrender to Israeli forces.
In Bethlehem Governorate in the southern West Bank, two Palestinian workers were shot and wounded by Israeli forces in the Cremisan area of Beit Jala, west of Bethlehem, while attempting to reach their workplaces in occupied Jerusalem. One worker sustained a gunshot wound to the foot and the other was shot in the thigh.
Israeli forces also invaded the town of Dar Salah, east of Bethlehem, deploying in the Al-Hajila area while firing concussion grenades. No injuries were reported. In addition, soldiers invaded the Wadi Susa area of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, where they broke into and searched several Palestinian homes.
In Hebron Governorate in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the village of At-Tabaqa in the Dura area southwest of Hebron and abducted a young Palestinian man during the operation. His identity was not immediately released.
In Tulkarem Governorate in the northwestern West Bank, Palestinian Red Crescent crews received a 27-year-old Palestinian who reportedly had been shot in the foot with live ammunition by Israeli forces inside the 1948 territories.
The wounded man was handed over at the Jabara military roadblock south of Tulkarem and transferred to hospital, where his condition was reported as stable. Israeli forces also invaded the town of Attil, north of Tulkarem.
In Jenin Governorate in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of Al-Yamun, west of Jenin, and abducted a young Palestinian man. No additional details regarding his identity were immediately available.
Israeli forces also invaded Qaryut, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank. Additional military movements were reported across the occupied territory as the operations continued throughout the day.
