Israeli occupation forces expanded their invasions and violations across the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, on Sunday, carrying out widespread invasions, breaking into homes, abducting residents, imposing movement restrictions, and intensifying pressure on Palestinian communities.
At dawn and throughout Sunday morning, Israeli forces invaded multiple cities, towns, and refugee camps across the territory, breaking into homes, firing tear gas and stun grenades, abducting residents, and subjecting others to prolonged field interrogations after detaining them for hours.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of al‑Khader, south of Bethlehem, and abducted 18‑year‑old Sharif Bassam al‑Balboul after breaking into his family’s home and damaging its contents. Forces deployed across several neighborhoods during the operation.
Later in the day, Israeli forces abducted two residents—including a child—from the village of Husan, west of Bethlehem, while maintaining a full military closure on the village for the second consecutive day.
Rami Hamamra, head of the Husan village council, said Israeli forces broke into several homes, vandalized property, and abducted 24‑year‑old Mohammad Muhannad Za’oul and 16‑year‑old Ibrahim Khaled al‑Sha’er.
He added that the ongoing closure has halted daily life, shut down shops, restricted movement inside and outside the village, and involved foot patrols and military roadblocks erected deep inside residential areas.
Hamamra noted that Israeli forces have recently escalated punitive measures against Husan, repeatedly closing its main entrances—including ash‑Shurafa, al‑Matina, and al‑Mashahed—as well as the road leading to the nearby town of Nahalin.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli soldiers invaded the Qalandia refugee camp north of the city, deploying military vehicles at the camp entrance before sending additional units into its neighborhoods. Forces abducted a teenage boy whose identity had not yet been confirmed.
During the invasion, Israeli soldiers closed several streets and fired large numbers of gas bombs and concussion grenades, particularly near the main entrance to the refugee camp.
Israeli troops also invaded the Salam neighborhood in Anata and the Ras Khamis area, breaking into a vehicle repair shop as part of ongoing military operations.
Heavy traffic congestion was reported in Kafr Aqab and al‑Eizariya due to intensified Israeli restrictions.
Israeli forces also installed a military roadblock in Jaba’, north of occupied Jerusalem, causing further traffic delays.
In addition, Israeli authorities placed concrete blocks along the al‑Khneideq road between Beit Liqya and Beit Anan, effectively severing the connection between villages northwest of occupied Jerusalem and those southwest of Ramallah.
In the central West Bank, Israeli forces abducted three young men from the village of al‑Mughayyir, east of Ramallah: Ala’ Abdul‑Hamid Abu Alia, Baha’ Yousef an‑Na’san, and Mo’ayyad Sameeh an‑Na’san.
The abductions followed a recent invasion of the village during which Israeli forces fired live rounds at residents, injuring several. On Saturday, 17‑year‑old Fadi an‑Na’san died from an expanding bullet wound to the thigh sustained during that invasion.
West of Ramallah, Israeli forces chased Palestinian farmers working their land in the areas of Jabal ar‑Ras and Bir al‑Asafeer, south of Deir Qaddis, firing live rounds and tear‑gas canisters.
The attack sparked a fire that spread across large areas of olive groves. Local sources said Israeli forces prevented Palestinian civil defense crews from reaching the area, allowing the fire to expand.
Deir Qaddis and neighboring villages have faced repeated invasions by Israeli forces alongside escalating attacks by colonizers targeting residents and their property.
In the eastern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted five Palestinians from Jericho and the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp. Local sources identified them as Mohammad Alaa Samara, Malik Shadi Barahma, his brother Mohammad, Majd Ahmad Nasriyeh from Jericho, and Mohsen Yousef Fayyad from Aqabat Jabr.
In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted three young men from the town of Qabatia, south of Jenin: Bilal Abu Zaid, a former political prisoner; Ahmad Abu Jedia’; and Ali Kmeil. Forces broke into their homes, searched them, and damaged property.
Israeli troops also invaded the city of Salfit in the central West Bank and the town of Deir al‑Ghusoon north of Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank, conducting searches and detaining residents before releasing several of them.
Additional invasions were reported in the villages of Burqa and al‑Lubban ash‑Sharqiya, as well as multiple neighborhoods in Nablus in the northern West Bank.
