On Wednesday, Israeli forces shot a Palestinian worker near Bethlehem, invaded Hebron city, and abducted three citizens in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.

WAFA correspondent reported that occupation soldiers opened fire with live rounds towards a group of Palestinian workers in the Wadi al-Hummus area between the villages of Dar Salah, east of Bethlehem, and Sur Baher in Jerusalem.

He added that Israeli forces shot a Palestinian in the knee with live ammunition before he was transported to the hospital for treatment; his condition was not known at the time of writing this report.


Earlier Wednesday, occupation forces shot and killed the young man, Mo’taz Hamza Hussein Al-Hajahla, 22, at dawn Wednesday, after invading the village of Al-Walaja, west of Bethlehem, and confiscated his body.

Meanwhile, the army invaded the city of Hebron on Wednesday evening, storming homes and harassing Palestinian citizens.

WAFA correspondent reported that a large army force stormed several neighborhoods in the city of Hebron, closing roads, impeding citizens’ movement, and abusing a number of young men.

He added that occupation forces stormed and ransacked several homes in Bir Haram al-Rama, the vicinity of the traffic circle, the university district, and the Abu al-Dajjan area. Soldiers invaded several homes in the southern part of the city, converting them to military barracks, causing damage, before withdrawing.

Furthermore, Israeli forces abducted three Palestinians in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, on Wednesday evening, and confiscated one of their vehicles.

Media sources said that occupation forces invaded the “Al-Jawaya” community in Masafer Yatta, and detained several members of the Al-Shawahin family.

Osama Makhamreh, a local activist, told the WAFA News Agency that soldiers stormed the “Al-Jawaya” community, following a settler attack against Palestinian shepherds, and abducted the young men, Ali al-Shawahin and Khalil al-Nawaj’a.

Sources added that the army abducted the activist, Hafez al-Harini, while he was travelling in Masafer Yatta, and seized his privately-owned vehicle.
