Israeli soldiers abducted, Sunday, a Palestinian child while walking to school in the al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Yacoub Oweiss, the head of the al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya Village Council, stated that the soldiers abducted Husam Moayyad Oweiss, and took him to an unknown destination.

He added that the abducted child is a seventh-grade student at the as-Sawiya / al-Lubban ash-Sharqiyya school.

The family and the school tried to convince the soldiers to release the child, but they refused.

It is worth mentioning that the children in that area are subject to frequent Israeli violations, especially since the army repeatedly parks its vehicles near the schools and harass the children.

Furthermore, the soldiers abducted five Palestinian children from their homes in Sa’ir town, east of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

In addition, the soldiers abducted two Palestinians in Bethlehem governorate, south of the occupied Palestinian capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

In related news, the soldiers abducted two Palestinians at a military roadblock near Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank.
