On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers bulldozed Palestinian lands and uprooted trees in the al-Isawiya town in occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) said the Israeli bulldozers started uprooting the Palestinian trees and bulldozing the lands after closing the southeastern area of the town.

Silwanic added that the army also destroyed and removed fences installed by the Palestinians around their lands in the southeastern area of the town.

The Israeli attacks are part of the so-called “National Gardens” Israeli colonialist project, benefiting the illegal Israeli colonizers after confiscating Palestinian lands, Silwanic stated.

Israel illegally confiscated large areas of Palestinian lands in the area and is now trying to annex more of the lands for its colonialist projects.

The Palestinians have been denied the right to plant or build on their lands in the area so that irreal can confiscate them for its illegal colonialist activities.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
