Israeli soldiers shot, on Friday morning, one Palestinian with live fire, causing a serious wound, and injured at least 64 others, in Jayyous town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.

Media sources said the soldiers attacked Palestinian protesters, who marched in solidarity with Gaza near the entrance of the town, and fired many live rounds, gas bombs, and rubber-coated steel bullets at them.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has reported that a young man, 28, was shot with a live round causing a serious injury before its medics rushed him to Darwish Nazzal governmental hospital.

It added that its medics provided the needed treatment to 64 Palestinians; nine who were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets and 55 who suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

In related news, the soldiers invaded Jinsafut town, east of Qalqilia, and caused many Palestinians to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.
