Israeli soldiers killed, on Wednesday night, a Palestinian young man, and shot another young man near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Late Wednesday night, a large army force stormed the town of Beit Furik, southeast of Nablus, while armored vehicles toured the streets of several neighborhoods.


Local Palestinian youths protested the military incursion, while soldiers opened fire with live rounds, shooting a Palestinian young man in the abdomen with live ammunition.

Initially, the wounded young man was transported to hospital in Nablus, and admitted to the operating room for surgery.

Shortly after being admitted to the operating room, the young man, Bashar Nihad Hanani, 35, succumbed to his wounds.

In related news, on Wednesday evening, the Israeli army invaded the town of Qusra, southeast of the city, triggering protests among local youths.

Soldiers opened fire towards those who resisted the incursion, and shot a Palestinian young man in the chest with a live round.


The young man was transported to hospital; the severity of his injury was not known at the time of writing this report.

Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers assaulted, on Wednesday night, a member of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society ambulance crew and a young man at the Sarra military roadblock, west of Nablus.

Media sources said that soldiers assaulted a Palestinian young man and then proceeded to assault an medic who was treating the injured young man; he was transported to hospital.

Furthermore,Ia large number of military vehicles, in addition to an infantry unit, invaded Odala village and Qabalan town, south of Nablus.

The army toured the streets and opened fire with live rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters, causing many citizens to sustain inhalation injuries.

Israeli forces have killed 411 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
