On Sunday evening, Israeli soldiers shot and abducted a young Palestinian man near the illegal Maale Adumim colony east of the occupied Palestinian capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank.


Update: Israeli soldiers invaded the Sawahra town southeast of occupied Jerusalem, on Sunday night, and stormed the home of Mo’tasem Awisat, who was shot by the army in an alleged stabbing attack near Maale Adumim colony, before the army abducted him.

During the invasion of his home, the soldiers assaulted and injured several members of his family and caused excessive damage to their furniture and belongings.

The soldiers also assaulted several Palestinians in the area, leading to protests, before the army fired rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades.

In related news, the soldiers abducted Adam Yousef Awisat from Jabal Al-Mukabbir town, southeast of Jerusalem, and invaded the At-Tour town, east of Jerusalem, before assaulting many Palestinians.


Updated From: Jan 1, 2024, at 06:21: Media sources said the soldiers opened fire at the young man near the illegal colony and refused to allow Palestinian medics to approach him.

They added that the soldiers abducted the wounded young man, and later, an Israeli ambulance arrived at the scene and took him away.

Israeli sources, and without providing further details, said “two persons were hurt in a stabbing attack” near the Industrial Zone of Mishor Adumim, in Maale Adumim illegal colony.

It is not known whether the young man had anything to do with the alleged stabbing in the illegal colony.

On Sunday, The Israeli army shot two Palestinians, including a child in the Ein Al-Sultan refugee camp near Jericho in the northeastern part of the West Bank, and assaulted workers in Hebron.

On Sunday dawn, Israeli soldiers injured three Palestinians with live fire and abducted at least four, including a father and his son, in Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.
