On Monday, marking Day 56 since the resumption of the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli army intensified its bombardment across the densely populated, starved, devastated, and besieged coastal enclave, killing and wounding scores of Palestinians, including children, and women.
Medical sources confirmed that two Palestinians were killed when an Israeli military quadcopter drone targeted displaced civilians near Al-Furqan School in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
Additionally, one Palestinian was killed and several others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting displaced civilians in a market in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

In another attack, a woman was killed, and several Palestinians were wounded, when the Israeli army fired a shell at tents sheltering displaced families near the Directorate of Education by Zahra’ School in the Daraj neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

Several injuries were also reported when the Israeli army fired a missile at an apartment building east of Gaza City.
Monday witnessed intensified Israeli bombing and shelling across all eastern areas of Gaza City, further exacerbating the humanitarian catastrophe.
In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, three Palestinians were killed and many others injured when the army bombarded a tent sheltering a displaced family inside the yard of the Vocational Training Center.

Medical sources report that at least 42 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza since early Monday morning.
The attacks paused for several hours before resuming in the evening, following the release of captured Israeli soldier Edan Alexander, who holds American citizenship.

Since the resumption of the genocide on March 18, 2025, at least 3,227 Palestinians, including 538 women and 551 children, have been killed, with thousands more injured.
