On Saturday morning, a Palestinian child succumbed to serious wounds she sustained days earlier when Israeli forces opened fire west of Deir al‑Balah, in the central Gaza Strip. Her death came one day after Israeli attacks killed thirteen Palestinians across the northern and southern areas of the Strip.

Medical sources confirmed that Dua Mohammad Suleiman Rahim died from her injuries after several days of critical treatment.

They added that the child had suffered severe live‑fire wounds when Israeli soldiers fired barrages of live rounds at displaced families west of Deir al‑Balah.

In Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza, Israeli soldiers opened fire at displaced Palestinians, killing one Palestinian, Ala’ Ahmad.

Separately, a Palestinian man was injured when Israeli naval forces opened fire at fishermen off the coast of Gaza City.

In addition, Israeli armored vehicles fired intermittent live rounds toward the eastern area of Al‑Maghazi refugee camp, forcing residents to flee open spaces and agricultural lands.

Israeli forces also continued demolishing residential buildings in the eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City, part of an ongoing campaign of destruction that has displaced thousands and left entire blocks uninhabitable.

These developments come one day after 13 Palestinians were killed, and 32 injured, on Friday in Israeli attacks targeting northern and southern Gaza, including strikes on homes, police patrols, and civilian areas.

The Friday casualties included seven Palestinians killed in Al‑Mawasi west of Khan Younis, three in northern Gaza, and a child who later succumbed to her wounds, in addition to multiple injuries.

Local authorities and medical teams warn that the real number of casualties remains higher, as many victims are still under the rubble or in areas that ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach due to ongoing bombardment, destroyed roads, and lack of fuel.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that 17 Palestinians were killed and 32 others injured over the past 48 hours, including 13 killed within the last 24 hours.

The Ministry stressed that the real toll is higher, as many victims remain under the rubble or in areas that ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach due to ongoing Israeli bombardment and destroyed roads.

Since the “ceasefire” announced on October 11, 2025, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has documented 810 Palestinians killed, 2,267 injured, and 761 bodies recovered from beneath destroyed homes and buildings. These figures reflect only those who were transported to hospitals.

The cumulative toll since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,585 Palestinians killed and 172,370 injured, according to the Ministry’s latest official update.

The Ministry emphasized that these numbers represent only the casualties who reached medical facilities.

The actual death toll is expected to be significantly higher, as many victims remain under the rubble or in areas that ambulance and civil defense crews cannot access due to ongoing bombardment, destroyed roads, and severe shortages of fuel and equipment.
