A Palestinian sanitation worker was killed on Saturday when an Israeli drone fired a missile at a waste disposal site in the central Gaza Strip, as Israeli forces continued attacks on multiple areas amid a deepening humanitarian and economic crisis.
Local reports, citing eyewitnesses, said an Israeli drone struck a garbage dump near the Palestinian refugee camp of Al‑Bureij in central Gaza, killing the worker while he was performing his duties. Medical teams transported the body to a nearby hospital.
The strike came less than 24 hours after Israeli warplanes destroyed two homes belonging to the Al‑Ayedi and Al‑Khmeisi families in the nearby Al‑Maghazi refugee camp following evacuation warnings issued to residents of two residential blocks.
In Gaza City, one Palestinian was injured on Saturday evening when Israeli forces shelled an area near the Sanafour location in the Al‑Tuffah neighborhood, east of the city. The wounded man was transferred to Al‑Ahli Baptist Hospital for treatment.
All of them are gone.

Residents in eastern Gaza City reported renewed Israeli machine‑gun fire on Saturday morning from armored vehicles positioned east of the Al‑Tuffah neighborhood, coinciding with low‑flying Israeli drones over Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Israeli naval vessels opened heavy machine‑gun fire toward the coastline of Gaza City on Saturday, while armored vehicles fired intensively near the Beit Lahia Club area in the northern part of the Strip.
Local media also reported that five Palestinians were injured on Friday when Israeli artillery shells struck a school sheltering displaced families in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
Ambulance crews transported the wounded from Abu Hussein School after an Israeli shell landed inside the facility.

Economic specialists told local media that any path toward recovery requires a fully organized relief phase, including the complete reopening of crossings, the entry of essential goods and supplies, and the removal of restrictions on commercial movement.
They also stressed the need for temporary employment programs to support families who have lost their livelihoods and to reduce soaring unemployment and poverty levels.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed in its daily update issued Saturday that hospitals in the devastated Gaza Strip received two Palestinians killed and eleven injured over the past 48 hours.
Since the declared “ceasefire” on October 11, 2025, the ministry has documented 983 Palestinians killed, 3,122 injured, and 783 bodies recovered from destroyed areas.
Since the start of the genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023, the cumulative toll has reached 72,993 Palestinians confirmed killed and 173,230 injured, the Health Ministry stated.
The ministry added that additional victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, with ambulance and civil defense crews unable to reach them due to ongoing Israeli fire, massive destruction, and the lack of equipment.
