Israeli soldiers attacked, Friday, the weekly nonviolent protest against the Annexation Wall and Colonies, in Bil’in village west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah.
The procession started from the center of the village, heading towards the illegal Annexation Wall near Abu Lemon area.
Dozens of Palestinians, accompanied by Israeli and international peace activists marched while chanting against the ongoing Israeli occupation, illegal colonies and constant violations against the Palestinian people.
They also chanted against the illegal U.S. recognition of occupied Jerusalem as the unified capital of Israel, in direct violation of International Law and numerous United Nations resolutions.
The Popular Committee against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in Bil’in, said the protesters marched carrying Palestinian flags, and posters of detained nonviolent activists, including ‘Ahed Tamimi and Monther Amira, and chanted for freedom and independence, and the release of all detainees.
Many protesters started banging on the gate of the Annexation Wall and wrote graffiti against the occupation, while the soldiers photographed them from their military towers.
In related news, the soldiers fired gas bombs and concussion grenades at nonviolent protesters in al-Biereh city, causing many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.
The army also attacked nonviolent protesters in Budrus village, west of Ramallah, and fired gas bombs and concussion grenades at them.
The protesters were marching against an Israeli decision to illegally confiscate hundreds of Dunams of Palestinian lands to build military bases.
Meanwhile, the soldiers shot one Palestinian with live fire, and another with a gas bomb in his face, in addition causing dozens to suffer the severe effects of teargas inhalation, after the army resorted to the excessive use of force against dozens of residents who marched in the al-Mazra’a al-Gharbiyya village, northwest of Ramallah, protesting the illicit confiscation of Palestinian lands to pave a new road for illegal colonies.
In addition, the army attacked dozens of Palestinian nonviolent protesters in Beita village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and injured many, including one child.
Furthermore, the soldiers attacked dozens of nonviolent protesters, and abducted a teenage boy, in the Old City of Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank.
