On Wednesday evening, Israeli soldiers assaulted and injured a Palestinian teenage boy in the village of al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, before abducting him.
Eyewitnesses said the soldiers stopped a Palestinian vehicle driven by Na’el Oweis and repeatedly assaulted his 17-year-old son, Karam, injuring them both.
They added that the soldiers fired numerous live rounds during the attack to force Palestinians off the streets.
The soldiers then abducted the wounded teen and took him to a building they had illegally occupied four days earlier in the village, which has since been converted into a military command center.
Earlier that same day, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian child in the town of Al-Yamun, northwest of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the child, Rayyan Tamer Hawshiyya, 14, succumbed to a critical gunshot wound he sustained when occupation forces shot him with live ammunition during their invasion of Al-Yamun town.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces have killed 161 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 29 children and 6 women.
Occupation forces have killed 58 Palestinians in Jenin, 28 in Nablus, 26 in Tubas, 16 in Tulkarem, 8 in Hebron, 6 in Bethlehem, 6 in Ramallah, 5 in Jerusalem, 4 in Qalqilia, 3 in Salfit, and 1 in Jericho.
In the Gaza Strip, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 56,156, including women and children, while at least 132,239 Palestinians have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of Israel’s military onslaught.
