On Wednesday, July 2, day 634 of Israel’s genocide against the people of Gaza, and  the the 106th day since the resumption of genocide after a brief ceasefire in February, dozens of civilians were killed and wounded in intense Israeli shelling on several areas in the Gaza Strip beginning early Wednesday morning and continuing through the morning, afternoon and night.

On Wednesday evening, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued a statement warning that the health system in the Gaza Strip is at risk of a complete shutdown without fuel for the emergency generators they have been running on for over a year.

The organization said that no fuel shipment has entered Gaza for more than 120 days .

“This has paralyzed humanitarian operations, including support for the healthcare sector, pushing hospitals to the brink of collapse, ” the statement added.

 

Also Wednesday, the UN Secretary-General’s spokesman, Stéphane Dujarric, stated on Wednesday that 85% of Gazans have been subjected to forced displacement orders over the past 21 months of genocide, and 97% of the displaced are sleeping in open areas.

The United Nations reported that the Israeli occupation forces issued a new order for “forced displacement” in neighborhoods inhabited by 80,000 people in Khan Yunis city, south of the Gaza Strip, noting that about 85% of Gaza’s lands are currently subject to displacement orders .

Dujarric said during a press conference tonight that Israel has issued a new order for “forced displacement” in the city of Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip, where 80,000 people live.

He added: “About 85% of Gaza’s territory is currently under displacement orders or located within military zones, seriously hindering people’s access to essential humanitarian support and the ability of relief workers to reach those in need.”

Twenty Palestinians were killed and dozens injured on Wednesday evening in Israeli shelling of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, and south of Wadi Gaza.

Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces opened fire on civilians waiting for aid on Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza, in the central Gaza Strip, killing two civilians and wounding six others.

In addition, an Israeli drone targeted a group of Palestinian citizens in the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, killing two citizens: Saleh Muhammad Musa Abu Hamed and Iyad Muhammad Musa Abu Hamed.

Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis reported that 10 civilians were killed and approximately 70 others were injured in Israeli shelling and gunfire targeting those waiting for aid in downtown Khan Yunis.

An Israeli drone targeted a tent housing displaced persons on Al-Istabil Street in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis, killing six members of one family: Bilal Abdul Rahim Abu Asi, his wife Nidaa, and their children Suhaib, Aboud, Khaled, and Asid.

The Israeli occupation army (IOF) issued a statement warning of the immediate evacuation of five residential blocks in the Tuffah and Daraj neighborhoods and the Old City, east of Gaza City, vowing to expand its military operation to reach the city center.

This comes as the Israeli army continues its genocidal war for nearly 22 months and plans for forced displacement.

The Israeli occupation army posted a statement on its spokesperson’s page: “To all those present in the Gaza City area, in the neighborhoods of Al-Tuffah and Al-Daraj, and the Old City in Blocks 602, 699, 715, 716, and 717 (…) evacuate immediately south to the Al-Mawasi area.”

The statement was accompanied by a map showing the areas warned of evacuation in red.

The IOF warned citizens against returning to these areas, claiming they were “dangerous combat zones,” vowing to expand his military operation to “the city center, including all its neighborhoods.”

It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation army has intensified its bombing and destruction of homes, buildings, and civilian facilities in areas east of Gaza City and the northern governorate over the past period.

Nine Palestinians, including three children, were killed and others injured when the Israeli occupation forces shelled a gathering of civilians in the new Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that an occupation drone targeted a gathering of citizens in front of the Binaa Preparatory School in the new camp in Nuseirat, which led to the martyrdom of nine citizens: Atiya Ismail Kabaja, Walid Mustafa Salem, Mahmoud Matar (Shabara), Jamil Afana, Muhammad Akif Al-Sanea, Youssef Muhammad Nabhan, the child Mahmoud Sameh Al-Zawaragha, the child Youssef Ahmed Al-Ajami, and the girl Reem Mustafa Salem.

Three Palestinians were killed and others injured when Israeli forces shelled a tent housing displaced persons near Al-Dahyan School in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, west of Gaza City.

Dozens were also injured, most of them seriously and critically, when the occupation targeted a shelter for displaced persons west of Gaza City. All were transferred to the Arab Baptist Hospital.

In Khan Yunis, a Wafa news correspondent confirmed the martyrdom of Ahmed Haidar Abdullah Al-Majayda in an Israeli bombardment on Al-Majayda Street in the city center.

Medical sources announced that 11 citizens waiting for aid were killed by Israeli army fire in several areas of the Gaza Strip since this morning.

The same sources confirmed that the death toll has risen to 67, following Israeli airstrikes targeting several areas in the Gaza Strip since dawn today.

Seven citizens, including five members of one family, were killed when Israeli warplanes bombed homes and a school in Gaza City.

A Wafa news correspondent reported that five Palestinian citizens were killed, including the director of the Indonesian hospital, Dr. Marwan Sultan, his wife, and several of his children, when the occupation’s air force targeted a residential apartment in western Gaza City. They were all transferred to Al-Shifa Medical Complex.

Two citizens were killed and others were injured when the Israeli occupation forces bombed Al-Zeitoun School south of Gaza City.

13 Killed in Pre-Dawn Airstrikes by Israeli Forces

This follows Tuesday’s killing of over 100 civilians, including an aerial massacre of civilians gathered at a beach, including journalists.

Fahed Amjad Fares (image above), a radiology technician at Nasser Medical Complex, was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Al-Kateeba neighborhood in Khan Younis.

In the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, medical sources reported that ten citizens were injured when an Israeli drone targeted a tent housing displaced persons near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. A number of citizens were also injured by Israeli drone fire in the Al-Karama neighborhood, northwest of Gaza City .

Medical sources reported that 13 citizens were killed in Israeli airstrikes on several areas in the Gaza Strip since dawn today.

Yesterday, Tuesday, the Gaza Strip witnessed a series of massacres committed by the Israeli occupation forces against families, with approximately 100 citizens killed by Israeli fire and airstrikes.

The death toll in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 56,647, and the number of injuries to 134,105.

 

Also today, British spy planes have resumed their near-daily surveillance missions over Gaza on Israel’s behalf after a 20-day pause. The last flight was on June 12, halted as a result of the Israeli attack on Iran. These missions have been ongoing for 19 months.
