An Israeli paratrooper refused on Wednesday to carry out an order related to the disengagement plan, an Israeli military source reported. The soldier is the first paratrooper to refuse to implement disengagement-related orders.
The paratrooper, a settler from a settlement in the West Bank, refused to participate in closing the area around the West Bank settlements of Sa-Nur and Homesh, which are slated to be evacuated.ÂÂ

The commander of the Paratroop Brigade, Colonel Yossi Bachar, tried the soldier and sentenced him to 28 days in jail.
The soldier, along with another soldier in the brigade, notified his superiors at the beginning of this week that he intended to refuse to carry out pullout-related orders.
According to Israeli reports, 40 soldiers and officers have recently refused to carry out pullout-related orders.
