The Israeli navy attacked fishermen Friday morning, off the coast of the Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.
He stated that naval boats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats sailing northwest of Gaza city, shooting a 60-year-old fisherman with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the head.
The wounded man was transferred to al-Shifaa Hospital in Gaza City, where his injury was described as moderate.
According to the Spokesman for the Palestinian Fishermen Committee in Gaza, Zakariya Baker, there were three injuries in total, and 2 fishing boats were damaged.
Baker added that Navy gunships fired at the fishermen with live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets and water cannons, for reasons that were unclear at the time of reporting.
