A Palestinian resident of Al Obadia village, east of the West Bank city of Bethlehem was abused by Israeli army troops early Monday morning. The troops, stationed at checkpoint 300 at the northern entrance to Bethlehem (otherwise known as Rachel’s Tomb checkpoint) abused Jad Ali (25).
Ali told IMEMC that he was trying to cross the checkpoint to go to work, when suddenly Israeli troops took him aside and attacked him while questioning him.
Medical sources at Beit Jala Hospital reported that Ali sustained bruises and ‘moderate’ wounds all over his body.
