On Wednesday evening, Israeli soldiers opened fire at a Palestinian car near the entrance of Kharsa village, south of Hebron in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, wounding its driver.
Media sources said the soldiers opened fire at the car from their fortified military tower at the village’s main junction.
Medical sources in Hebron said the soldiers shot the driver, 39 years of age, with four live rounds in the elbow, wrist, abdomen, and thigh.
Palestinian medics rushed to the area and moved the wounded man to a hospital in Hebron.
It remains unknown why the soldiers opened fire at his car, especially since they did not attempt to abduct him.
