On Sunday, day 366 (the number of days since October 7, 2023, has been 366 days due to the 2025 leap year) of the Israeli assault on the entire population of 2.2 million people in the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces continued their assault, pounding Gaza with ceaseless bombardment throughout the night.

At least 18 citizens were killed, and dozens were injured, Sunday morning, in a new massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the displaced in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that the Israeli occupation’s warplanes bombed a mosque housing displaced people near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, killing 21 Palestinians and wounding dozens.

The sources indicated that a number of children’s bodies arrived at the hospital with their heads severed from their bodies, in addition to a large number of serious injuries.

According to the Palestinian Wafa news agency, medical teams are having to triage between the injuries, in an attempt to save a greater number of the injured, most of whom have serious injuries. This massacre comes at a time when the hospital is suffering from a severe shortage of medical supplies and a lack of sufficient medicines to treat the injuries.

The Israeli occupation army continues to launch violent, non-stop fire belts on the northern Gaza Strip, as in the first days of the war.

Israeli authorities airdropped leaflets in central Gaza ordering people to evacuate. These are people that have been displaced multiple times already.

The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, which resulted in the killing of 41,825 citizens and the injury of 96,910 others, most of whom are children and women, in an incomplete toll, as thousands of people are still missing under the rubble.

Among the slain Palestinians are at least 16,891 children, 11,458 women, 174 journalists, 85 emergency responders, 986 medical staff, and 203 UNRWA staff.

The British Lancet Medical Journal and other experts estimate the death toll in Gaza is much higher – and could be above 200,000, when counting both direct and indirect deaths related to the Israeli war on Gaza.

This most recent escalation of Israel’s ongoing military occupation of Palestine began October 7th 2023 when 1,143 Israelis were killed, including 767 civilians and 376 armed soldiers. Around 500 Israeli soldiers have been killed between October 7th and now – both in Gaza and on the Israeli border with Lebanon.
