33 people have been killed, Tuesday, as the Israeli military bombarded Beirut’s southern suburbs with air strikes. These air strikes mount one of Israel’s heaviest daytime attacks yet on the area, after the defense minister ruled out a ceasefire until Israeli war goals were met. As of Tuesday morning, Israel launched at least 10 air strikes on southern Beirut, according to Lebanese state media, shortly after Israel’s army urged residents of several neighborhoods to evacuate.

Moreover, earlier Tuesday, at least 14 people were killed and 15 injured following an Israeli air strike on the town of Ain Yaqoub in the far north of Lebanon. The Israeli missile that hit a building where 30 people were residing, including Syrian refugees, marked the northernmost point in Lebanon attacked so far by Israeli forces since the attack began in October 2023.
