A contingent of Israeli army incurred on Thursday into the central Gaza Strip village of Wad Alsalqa, as another Israeli force arrested five Palestinian inhabitants in the northern Gaza city of Beit Hanoun.
Witnesses said that the Israeli army swept almost one kilometer depth into Palestinian-owned lands in the Wad Alsalqa village and that soldiers took over positions on rooftops of five houses, including that of the village’s mayor.
Witnesses added that the soldiers held a number of local farmers and their families inside the mayor’s house.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army thrust into the aL-Amal neighborhood of the northern Gaza Strip city of Beit Hanoun.
Local Palestinian sources confirmed that five Palestinian inhabitants have been taken prisoners by the invading Israeli army force.
The Israeli military began yesterday a new wave of attacks on the coastal territory, after three Palestinian resistance groups claimed responsibility for a deadly cross-border attack on an Israeli crossing point in eastern Gaza city.
