A meeting will be held Sunday evening between Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, according to Olmert's spokesman, Mark Regev.Regev confirmed in a phone interview with the Ramattan News Agency that the meeting is a part of regular talks between both sides as part of Palestinain-Israeli negotiations. Abbas met with Olmert in Jerusalem last Monday, restarting peace talks that have been stalled since March 2008, as a result of a deadly assault on Gaza by Israel military. The Palestinain-Israeli peace talks have been stalled since 2000 following the breakout of Palestinain-Israeli violence. In November 2007, the US attempted to revive the peace negotiations on the basis of a two-state solution by the end of 2008.
